Receiving a petition against the threat of development on Tilehurst Allotments in west Reading in 2004. LibDem trustees of the Tilehurst Poor Lands Trust wanted to sell off the valued open space for development. John supported its protecting under Reading’s Local Development Framework now Conservative changes to planning law have raise new questions over the future of the land.
